Memorial Mile • Brittany Bush
“We were both addicts and she also battled depression. On 6-15-2024 we got in an argument over nothing and I walked out to the car to cool down and de escalate. The whole time on the phone with her talking things through. We spent an hour on the phone or so. Then the phone went dead I called back a few times all to no answer. So I went in and eventually made it back to the bedroom where I found her hanging in our closet yelling for help I cut her down and started CPR. My neighbor called 911 and stayed there with me they arrived and worked on her for 10 to 15 minutes telling me they had a pulse and I did everything the right way. At the hospital I was told she will never come out of the coma because she did to much damage to the arteries. She was an organ donor they kept her alive for 7 days and finally on 6-22-2024 they did the honor walk and wheeled her into the OR for the last time. ”

6-15-2024 is also the day I became clean and sober. It has been hard and I wish she could see me now. I miss my wife so much but am determined not to let anyone else suffer like that again. Thank you

We are honored to walk in memory of Brittany Bush.
