“In Loving Memory of Aurelia Star Dosal Ramirez July 8, 2008 – May 28, 2022 Aurelia Star Dosal Ramirez was my miracle baby, my first and only birth child, and the brightest light in my life. On May 28, 2022, the day after her 8th grade promotion, Star left this world at just 13 years old – and the world I knew crumbled beneath me without warning.”

Star was everything – “my little shadow,” my mini-me, the better of me. She was music and laughter, love and light. She had the biggest, most generous heart. Friends said she always gave more than she received. Some said she saved their lives. Many described her as an angel walking this earth. And one gentleman said what I know to be true: that her passing was not only my loss, but a loss for the world. She was fearless, silly, thoughtful, and so brave. Star loved birthdays – every single one, not just her own – and planned them all year long. She lived with joy and curiosity, filling her days with creativity and dreams.

From an early age, Star’s spirit was boundless. She sang, danced, acted, and even spoke in a fluent British accent by the age of six. She participated in every talent show, was a cheerleader and an athlete, my little comedian, a musician, and an artist. Her jersey numbers were #13 and #7. She wanted to be a famous singer, a lawyer, a traveler, a student at NYU, and she dreamed of taking me to New York at Christmas. She made chocolate, baked, grilled outside; she painted and photographed — there was nothing she didn’t try, and nothing she wasn’t good at. The day before she passed, she told us she wanted to be a photographer.

Her love was larger than life itself, and she gave it freely, without judgment. Star’s legacy will never be defined by the manner of her death, but by the way she lived and loved. Her light continues to shine in every heart she touched, and her spirit colors the sunsets and night skies with her everlasting beauty. Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever our Stargirl💫 FE 13
