Charley Sierra
April 20, 2010
With love and honor, we remember. This Memorial Mile is dedicated to
Charley Sierra.
“Charley was one of a kind. Not only was he my brother but he was my best friend. His smile and blue eyes would light up a entire forest just with his presence.”
He grew up in San Jose CA and eventually found his place in South Carolina. He love adrenaline and lived for any adventure. As we all do, we go through life seeing where we fall and at 19 Charley found boxing and fell in love with the sport and quickly grew in the sport. As with the highest of highs lows can come just as quickly.
Charley was out riding his motorcycle one afternoon when a corner crept up and he unfortunately wrecked leaving him in a coma for 34 days with bruising to the brain, lacerations to his kidney, lungs and liver and completely destroyed his right rotator cup. Charley had to learn how to walk, talk, read, write and all his motor skills. Against all odds he did it and came out of it almost 100%, only thing was his right arm and being a boxer you could only imagine. Unfortunately almost a year after recovery Charley took his own life only 6 days after turning 22.
I’ll forever speak my brothers name and tell his story. I hope you all know You Are Enough and the world is such a better place with you in it and I’m so glad your here! Forever missing and loving Charley Andrew Sierra 💚
We are honored to walk in memory of Charley Sierra.
