Memorial Mile • Austin Dickey
“My beautiful son, Austin Dickey, chose to die by suicide on April 3, 2025. He was a gifted adventure photographer, curious, creative, kind, and endlessly generous. He had a way of seeing beauty where others only saw the ordinary, and he captured it through his lens with a rare sensitivity.”

In the wake of his death, I wrote a book called The Dash, born from my grief but written with hope. My prayer was that it might reach other families who have lost a child to suicide and, just as importantly, touch the hearts of those who may be silently struggling, reminding them that their story is not finished.

While Austin is no longer physically with us, he still speaks through my words, and through his breathtaking photography. I pray through my book his light will continue to shine and save lives. This is part of journey in surviving suicide loss, keeping this important conversation alive.

We are honored to walk in memory of Austin Dickey.
